Segue partners with RIDE, NCC to pilot curriculum tools

In 2013, the Rhode Island Department of Education (RIDE), in partnership with the New England Comprehensive Center (NCC), began a project to develop a comprehensive toolkit to assist districts in the development of standards-aligned curricula that would also support the needs of English Language Learners (ELLs) and students with disabilities.

RIDE sought a small number of districts to volunteer to help develop the protocols, templates, and other components of the toolkit.

The Segue Institute for Learning, the 2013-2014 RIASCD Whole Child Recognition School is the first district to volunteer and continues to work with RIDE and the NCC to both develop the curriculum tools and pilot their use.  Read more…
